*This is formerly the Protector of Calumet blog.*
God has a strange way of working His Will in our lives.
Until November of 2010, I had been actively involved in the Scouting movement. I am a proud Eagle Scout, OA Brotherhood member, and 5th Year Pipestone holder. When I first started the blog, my goal was to educate and keep other Scouters informed of what my local Boy Scout Council was doing with a portion of our beloved summer camping ground.
Things never really progressed with those plans and I didn’t have the time to keep up with it between supporting my troop, the scouts, and working. Scouting was my life, and God knew that I was spending far too much time with it.
I love mentoring to young people and helping them with whatever they may be struggling with. God has called me to work with young people and He truly blessed me with the years I spent within the Scouting movement.
God has been guiding me through these last few months and my faith has grown exponentially since then.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” –Jeremiah 29:11
